Safety
The purpose of a scaffolding structure is to provide the user with safe access and a safe platform from which he/she can conduct their work. This requires that scaffolding is erected with safe material using safe erection procedures.
At CMS we have established procedures, complying with ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 requirements, that are implemented and practiced by our scaffold erectors.
CMS implemented the ISO 45001 standard during 2019 and received accreditation from BSCIS. Our well trained Safety Officers, assisted by trained Safety Representatives, conduct Daily inspections on employee PPE as well as JOB Observations to ensure the safety of personnel and to identify possible improvements in erection and dismantling processes.
Employee wellbeing and fitness are important factors when conducting high risk tasks like scaffolding. CMS provides regular fitness testing and resting and dining facilities to ensure our employees remain in a good state of mind.
CMS is registered with the Federated Employers Mutual Assurance to ensure that, should an employee be injured, employees receive the required medical and financial support.
